Dina Weinshelbaum
First-Third Grade Cello Teacher
Dina Weinshelbaum received her B.A. in music from UC Berkeley, where she studied with Millie Rosner and Colin Hampton. She has taught at the Crowden School and the Young Musician’s Program at UC Berkeley, and she maintains a private teaching studio in her home. In addition to teaching cello, Dina is a member of the San Francisco Opera Center Orchestra, and often subs with groups such as the Berkeley Symphony, California Symphony, and Oakland Symphony. She also plays for many weddings and parties as the owner of Garden Strings. Dina joined the Black Pine Circle School music faculty in 1993. Her son Eli graduated from the BPC middle school in 2015 and, after graduating from UC Berkeley this year, and is currently a second year PhD student in chemistry.
